Consistently Again

Your distorted astral plane of disgust

Broken porcelain dolls of death

Tears flow from rotten stench

Feelings of equal withered dreams

The path where you burned forests

Leaves nothing but tainted soil

Wicked words tear down levees

Ushering in floods of aggression

Creating water damaged minds

Too much pain is left

Monday mornings inevitable come

Relive my life all over again

Revised edition from the book ‘My Descent into Madness”

  1. Johanna says:

Tim, your poems have some interesting imagery. You have talent but you need someone to help you edit. Have you ever considered taking a college poetry class?

    • Tim Lundmark says:

      Johanna,

I would love to take many college courses to help me with my writing. I don’t really have the time or the money. I would love to go back to school full time and get a literature degree. Was the poem poorly edited? Where did I make the mistakes? I would like to know to help me. I have someone who edits my children’s book since this is the only thing I am working on which is a realistic possibility to become a career. She does it for free so I do not want to send her two hundred pages of poems to edit, that would take her days.

  2. Johanna says:

Tim, editing poetry is tricky. The one who edits has to be in communication w/ the poet so the ideas in the poem are preserved. I am able to correct grammar and tell you which words evoke really good imagery and which words work but I would be afraid of changing your original intent. Again, I am not a poet but I’d be willing to give it a try. I’ll try to make some specific suggestions on the two poems you have up right now and e-mail them to you if you want. Can you post your e-mail?

I have self published two books, which I tried to edit myself. I suppose if you were up to the task and wanted to do it I could send you each book. I am also looking to combine these two books (keeping the best ones discarding the rest.) I need to submit this book idea to a publisher who right now is taking solicited material. I want to get a refined book to them ASAP. Just let me know I would appreciate the help, but I must warn you there are probably close to 200 plus poems in those two books.

  3. Johanna says:

Tim, let me just work on the two poems you have up on the site currently. I definitely can’t do much more because of my family commitments. 🙂
